Case Study 1

Company:
An Industrial Distribution Company

Requirement:
For their product line, the company's distribution center is required to inspect, certify, and provide a certificate of conformance with the latest specifications and test results for each product that they ship. This process has been onerous and inefficient because there was a disconnect between the ordering and distribution process that resulted in erroneous specifications, customer complaints, and returns. They needed an automated process to eliminate errors and increase productivity.

Solution:
A document generator and a shipping label manager that integrated with their existing CRM database for retrieval of product, customer, and order information to generate accurate conformance documents and shipping labels.

The system has been designed to simplify the process and allow product safety engineers to simply scan the product number and order number barcode, and enter test results. The system automatically retrieves assigned product document templates and generates correct conformance documents as specified by the customers. In addition, the system also generates and auto prints customized shipping labels complete with company logo and warning statements.

Behind the scenes, the conformance documents and tracking numbers are sent via email to the customer for reference. The documents are also archived for searchability via the web so that customers can access them directly when needed and eliminate the need for keeping hard copies.

The system administration module allow the administrator to set up customer specifications and create customized document and label templates, giving them full control over the style and information that is generated.

Case Study 2

Company:
US Government

Requirement:
A regulatory agency responsible for regulating national banks needed a tool to help agents extract data and build reports they need to enforce banks to comply with federal regulations.

Solution:
A self-service report wizard that allows users to build templates via an easy to use web-based interface and generate reports on demand without the technical knowledge. The report wizard is integrated with a backend SQL Query builder, where user selected criterion is translated into optimized and well-formed SQL queries behind the scenes.

The core of the report engine has been designed to extract and transform high volumes of data from disparate data sources and generate reports based on a given template. These reports are able to provide numeric as well as a visual representation of the data in form of dial, gauges, and charts. In addition, reports are exportable to various formats including read-only PDF as well as Excel for further data analysis.

The application also implemented a security access layer to safe guard unauthorized access to information without proper security clearance.
